M.A.C is a Canadian cosmetics manufacturer founded in Toronto, Canada in 1984 by the passionate make-up artist and salon owner Frank Angelo and photographer Frank Toskan.The two met in 1970 and decided to work together on the make-up kits for editorial shoots.

M.A.C Cosmetics was born in 1985 and soon began to establish its renown. The Company is headquartered in New York City after becoming a subsidiary of Estée Lauder Company in 1998.
